Artio International Equity Fund II may be a good choice for investors who are pursuing long-term growth of capital through investments outside of the United States. The Fund has a bias toward mid and large capitalization companies in both developed and emerging market countries; investments will not be made in what the Adviser considers small-capitalization issues. The Fund offers the potential to diversify and obtain international equity exposure.

Artio Global Equity Fund Inc. may be a good choice for those investors seeking to maximize total return, principally through capital appreciation through investments in global markets. The Fund seeks to achieve its objective by normally investing in a diversified portfolio of equity securities of issuers located throughout the world, including emerging markets. The Adviser manages the Fund using a core approach and is not constrained by a particular investment style and invests in both "growth" and "value" securities. The Fund has a bias toward mid- large-capitalization companies , but may also invest in small-capitalization companies. Due to the Fund's broad scope, the Adviser believes the Fund may be appropriate as a core holding, offering investors access to both domestic and international equities via a single investment vehicle.

Artio US Microcap Fund may be a good choice for investors who are pursuing long-term growth of capital. The Fund invests in a diversified portfolio of US equity securities of small-capitalization companies, within the range of the Russell 2000 and Russell Microcap Indices, at the time of purchase. The Adviser manages the Fund as a core domestic equity product and is not constrained by a particular investment style investing in both "growth" and "value" securities. Investments are selected based on an active fundamental process which combines financial analysis and first-hand company meetings to evaluate potential investments' management, long-term outlook and business strategies. The Fund offers investors more targeted access to investments focused on very small US companies and may complement a diversified US equity portfolio.

Artio US Smallcap Fund may be a good choice for investors who are pursuing long-term growth of capital through investment in a diversified portfolio of US equity securities of small-capitalization companies, within the range of the Russell 2000 Index, at the time of purchase. The Adviser manages the Fund as a core domestic equity product and is not constrained by a particular investment style investing in both "growth" and "value" securities. Investments are selected based on an active fundamental process which combines financial analysis and first-hand company meetings to evaluate potential investments' management, long-term outlook and business strategies. The Adviser manages the Fund as a core domestic equity product and is not constrained by a particular investment style investing in both "growth" and "value" securities. Investments are selected based on an active fundamental process which combines financial analysis and first-hand company meetings to evaluate potential investments’ management, long-term outlook and business strategies. The Fund offers the potential to achieve a diversified US equity portfolio, with access to all market capitalization ranges, via a single investment vehicle.

Artio Total Return Bond Fund may be a good choice for investors seeking total return. The Fund invests primarily in investment grade, intermediate term bonds denominated in currencies of a variety of countries throughout the world and multinational currencies, such as the euro. The Fund seeks to maximize current income, while preserving principal, and offers investors access to both domestic and international bonds via a single investment vehicle.

Artio Global High Income Fund may be a good choice for investors interested in an alternative to equities and investment grade bonds. The Fund seeks to maximize total return by investing primarily in high income producing instruments of both US and foreign issue, such as high yield, high risk bonds or unrated bonds of comparable quality. The Fund invests in a diversified set of debt securities whose issuers the Adviser believes demonstrate potential for stable to improving credit. High yield bonds historically have demonstrated a relatively low correlation to bonds and equities, potentially bringing efficient diversification to a balanced portfolio.

4. Complete an Account Application

Account applications may be obtained online (regular account, IRA and Coverdell education savings account), or by phone at 800 387 6977 (press 3 to request fund literature). For IRA and Coverdell education savings accounts, please read the important Disclosure Statement & Custodial Account Agreement. If you request a prospectus via mail, an application will also be included.

Automatic Investment Plan (AIP)

Class A Shareholders only can choose to invest in the Artio Global Funds through our Automatic Investment Plan (AIP). AIP enables investors to make regular investments in amounts not less than $100 per month. Simply complete the AIP information on your application, and we will automatically debit the account you indicate (checking or savings) on the 15th day of each month. (Since automatic investment plans involve continuous investment in securities regardless of fluctuating price levels of such securities, you should consider your financial ability to continue purchases through periods of low price levels. Such a plan does not assure a profit and does not protect against loss in declining markets.)

5. Mail Your Application
